Jakarta — The Canadian Trade Mission in the field of Waste-to-Energy, coordinated by the Embassy of Canada to Indonesia, held a business matching event specifically discussing Waste-to-Energy (WtE) to explore further cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
Representing one of the private companies engaged in the Waste-to-Energy business, Bobby Gafur, CEO of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi, Tbk and also a member of APLSI, conveyed that investment plays a crucial role in driving national economic growth. In his presentation, Bobby Gafur outlined the strategies and challenges facing the waste-to-energy business, welcomed collaboration and partnership — particularly in the field of technology — and expressed appreciation for the government’s support, hoping that this initial phase of waste management can proceed well and continue, so that national development in the waste-based energy sector can be achieved.
