JAKARTA — The Indonesian Private Power Producers Association (APLSI) successfully held its Members’ Gathering #3 at the APLSI Secretariat, Treasury Tower, 33rd Floor, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 24 June 2026. Held in a Fireside Chat format, the regular gathering focused on the regulatory topic “Indonesian Renewable Energy PPAs: Key Features and Considerations.”
The event featured Ms. Karina Sungkono, Partner at Santoso, Martinus & Muliawan Advocates (SMMA), who provided an in-depth discussion on risk allocation frameworks and the legal aspects of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for renewable energy projects in Indonesia.
APLSI Chairman Eka Satria emphasized that a strong understanding of the legal framework governing PPAs is fundamental for Independent Power Producers (IPPs) to align with Indonesia’s national electricity development agenda.
“Accelerating Indonesia’s clean energy transition depends significantly on bankable PPA structures. At APLSI, we remain committed to supporting the renewable energy targets outlined in the Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL). However, fair and balanced collaboration with PLN as the sole offtaker is essential, particularly in establishing an equitable risk allocation framework that ensures renewable energy projects remain attractive to private investors without placing additional financial burdens on the state.”
Eka Satria, Chairman of APLSI
The APLSI Secretariat remains committed to organizing regular discussion and educational forums to foster knowledge sharing among its members. Future gatherings will continue to feature leading industry experts, providing a platform to discuss the latest developments, examine regulatory issues, and encourage constructive dialogue in support of a healthy, reliable, and sustainable private power industry in Indonesia.
